Dam Spillway Upgrade and Sediment Removal, Phonsavanh– Phu Bia Mining
Phu Bia built the sediment control dam in order to minimize the impact to rice fields and gardens downstream of Houay Naking as temporary structure in 2013 and after the KTL prospect couldn’t develop due to the global copper price therefore the dam to be upgrade for permanent performance life. The project has two main tasks; first is removal the sediment from the dam basin and upgrade the spillway to be reinforced concrete structure (existing is gabion).
